Contrast Imaging has successfully implemented the Contrast ONE RIS PACS solution to Bayside Radiology in Hervey Bay Queensland. Bayside Radiology is a progressive medical imaging practice meeting the needs of Hervey Bay and surround communities and endeavours to be responsive to the patient with service and caring, responsive to the referring doctors with accurate and timely reporting, and responsive to the community at large by using environmentally friendly processes.

Bayside Radiology required a full single system solution to enable a higher level or productivity, statistics collection, and streamlined remote reporting and transcription facilities to better share resources.  Every installation of the Contrast ONE solution is unique, with different workflows, legacy systems to be considered, and staff experience levels to be considered.  The Bayside Radiology implementation included a full migration of legacy patients, referrers, reports and images into the Contrast ONE solution.

Since 1980, Womens and Breast Imaging is Western Australia's only specialised diagnostic breast clinic dealing purely with the breast - performing diagnostic mammography, dedicated breast ultrasound and image guided breast biopsy. Two resident specialist radiologists, Drs Julian Frayne and Peter Goodwin head up a team of experienced all-female radiographers and sonographers.  Womens and Breast Imaging came to Contrast Imaging needing to move forward with a modern, fully functional combined RIS, PACS, Billing and Delivery solution that would enable them to improve their patient and referrer relationships and streamline their workflows.  More importantly, they needed it to be well supported and be flexible enough to be adapted and modified to meet their specific workflow requirements.

After thorough comparisons with all of the major options in the RIS and PACS solutions space, Breast Imaging selected the Contrast ONE RIS PACS Solution and a productive relationship between Contrast Imaging and Womens and Breast Imaging ensued.  The Contrast ONE RIS PACS Solution at Breast Imaging utilises specific Mammography functionality, along with a modified billing workflow enabling the radiographers and sonographers to pre-select billing services after the procedure has been performed.  Breast Imaging also utilises the direct mail merge functionality within the Contrast Business Performance Statistics module allowing it to strengthen relationships with its referrers and patients through identification of trends and better communications.

Bundaberg Radiology has replaced its existing RIS PACS systems with the single Contrast ONE RIS PACS solution.  Bundaberg Radiology needed a well-supported single solution that allowed it to achieve synergies across its business and clinical functions.  Bundaberg Radiology is a multi-site progressive practice dedicated to serving the imaging needs of Bundaberg and surrounding communities.

The Contrast ONE solution enabled Bundaberg Radiology to achieve these synergies by providing the one system for their entire workflow from patient orders and appointments, through to Diagnostic Report delivery. 

Bundaberg Radiology also makes use of the Contrast Remote Diagnostic Reporting modules which include the smart caching technology allowing remote reporters to have their images available as soon as is practically available and hence improving their reporting efficiency.
